The Bachelor of Nursing Science Study Program at Universitas Brawijaya stands as a prominent institution for nursing education in Indonesia and has played a pioneering role in advancing higher nursing education in East Java. The program offers both Nursing Education (Ners) and Master of Nursing programs, with two specializations available within the Master’s program: Emergency Nursing and Psychiatric Nursing.

Universitas Brawijaya employs several admission pathways for new students of Bachelor’s Degree Programs, which include:
- National Selection for State Universities (SNMPTN): This selection is based on the academic achievements and/or portfolios of prospective students. The selection involves not-written exams and is conducted nationwide, concurrently with all state universities in Indonesia. - Independent Selection at Universitas Brawijaya (SMUB): The selection is carried out based on UTBK (Computer-Based Written Test) scores and academic records, which may be combined with other criteria based on specific achievements. All prospective students applying for the Bachelor’s Degree Programs at the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS UB) must undergo both health and psychological assessments. The health criteria for FHS UB Bachelor’s Program students encompass:
- No physical disabilities or impairments (blindness, deafness, speech impediments, physical disabilities).
- No color blindness, whether total or partial.
- No mental disorders.
- Drug-free status.
To maintain the quality of education, the Bachelor of Nursing Science Study Program is supported by lecturers who are experts in their respective fields and who meet the national standards for higher education competency. Currently, the Bachelor of Nursing Science Study Program is staffed by lecturers holding titles such as Professor, Doctor, and at a minimum, a Master’s degree, and also practicing professionals.
The Graduate Learning Outcomes (CPLs), based on the Indonesian National Qualifications Framework (KKNI) and National Standards of Higher Education (SNPT), are categorized into Attitudes, Knowledge, General Skills, and Specific Skills.
