Sampai saat ini, pasien terkonfirmasi positif Covid-19 masih terus bertambah. Pemberian vaksin merupakan salah satu upaya pemerintah yang dinilai efektif untuk mengendalikan penyebaran penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus SARS-Cov-2 ini.
Sebagai bentuk dukungan terhadap program pemerintah ini, sebanyak 22 staf dosen Jurusan Keperawatan FKUB terjun sebagai vaksinator pada kegiatan pemberian vaksin kepada 5000 dosen dan tenaga kependidikan Universitas Brawijaya.
Dengan pemberian vaksin ini, diharapkan akan terbentuk herd immunity sehingga penyebaran Covid-19 dapat dicegah dan angka rawat inap di rumah sakit akibat Covid-19 dapat berkurang.

To date, the number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 is still increasing. Vaccination is one of the government’s efforts that are considered effective in controlling the spread of the disease caused by the SARS-Cov-2 virus.
As a form of support for this government program, as many as 22 faculty staff of the Nursing Department of FKUB are involved as vaccinators in giving vaccines to 5000 lecturers and education staff of Universitas Brawijaya.
With this vaccine, it is hoped that herd immunity will be formed so that the spread of Covid-19 can be prevented and the number of hospitalizations due to Covid-19 can be reduced.
