Neuropati pada kaki diabetik merupakan salah satu komplikasi mikrovaskular Diabetes Melitus (DM) yang paling banyak ditemukan. Indonesia merupakan salah satu negara dengan angka kejadian neuropati kaki diabetik yang tinggi. Kondisi ini menimbulkan berbagai manifestasi klinis yang dapat menurunkan kualitas hidup pasien DM.
Neuromuscular Taping (NMT), metode pemasangan plester menggunakan bahan khusus dengan modifikasi pada bentuk, panjang, dan lebar plester pada permukaan kulit kaki, diperkirakan dapat menjadi salah satu terapi penunjang untuk neuropati kaki diabetik. Namun penelitian tentang manfaat NMT pada kaki diabetik masih terbatas. Hal ini memicu Ns. Heri Kristianto, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.MB untuk meneliti dan mengembangkan algoritme NMT terhadap perbaikan klinis gangguan mikrosirkulasi pada kaki diabetik sebagai topik disertasinya.
Hasil penelitian dosen Keperawatan Medikal Bedah Jurusan Keperawatan FKUB ini membuktikan bahwa NMT dapat memberikan manfaat dalam memperbaiki kelembapan kulit kaki, struktur kapiler dan respon nyeri neuropati. Beliau berharap hasil penelitiannya dapat memberi harapan baru dalam tata laksana kaki diabetik.
Selasa, 25 Mei 2021, dosen berusia 39 tahun ini berhasil mempertahankan disertasinya dan resmi mendapatkan gelar Doktor. Dengan ini, Dr. Ns. Heri resmi menjadi staf Jurusan Keperawatan ke-13 yang bergelar Doktor. Dosen sekaligus praktisi keperawatan ini menyelesaikan studi S3 nya di Program Studi Doktor Keperawatan Fakultas Keperawatan Universitas Indonesia dalam kurun waktu 2 tahun 9 bulan dengan IPK 3,94 dan predikat cumlaude.[:en]
Neuropathy in diabetic feet is one of the most common microvascular complications of Diabetes Mellitus (DM). Indonesia is one of the countries with a high incidence of diabetic foot neuropathy. This condition causes various clinical manifestations that can reduce the quality of life of DM patients.
Neuromuscular Taping (NMT), a plaster installation method using a special material with modifications to the shape, length, and width of the plaster on the skin surface of the foot, is thought to be one of the supporting therapies for diabetic foot neuropathy. However, research on the benefits of NMT in diabetic foot is still limited. This triggers Ns. Heri Kristianto, S.Kep., M.Kep., Sp.Kep.MB to research and develop the NMT algorithm for clinical improvement of microcirculation disorders in diabetic feet as the topic of his dissertation.
The results of this research by the Medical Surgical Nursing lecturer at the Department of Nursing, FKUB, proves that NMT can provide benefits in improving foot skin moisture, capillary structure and neuropathic pain response. He hopes that the results of his research can give new hope in the management of diabetic feet.
Tuesday, May 25, 2021, this 39-year-old lecturer successfully defended his dissertation and officially received a doctorate degree. With this, Dr. Ns. Heri officially became the staff of the 13th Department of Nursing with a Doctorate degree. This nursing lecturer and practitioner completed his doctoral studies at the Nursing Doctoral Study Program, Faculty of Nursing, University of Indonesia in a period of 2 years and 9 months with a GPA of 3.94 and cumlaude predicate.
