Overview

  1. The Journal Publishing Agency (BPJ) of the Faculty of Health Sciences (FHS) at Universitas Brawijaya (UB) was established in January 2022. The establishment of BPJ is grounded in the Decree of the Rector of Universitas Brawijaya, Number 20 Year 2016, which outlines the Organizational Structure and Work Procedures. This decision is a derivative of Ministerial Regulation Number 4 of 2016, which pertains to the Organization and Work Procedures of Universitas Brawijaya.
    BPJ FHS operates under the guidance of the Vice Dean for Academic Affairs, with a mission to support and cultivate the publication of academic works by lecturers and the academic community on both national and international platforms.
    BPJ’s core activities revolve around the implementation of programs aimed at fostering the development and dissemination of high-quality, impactful research, as well as community service initiatives. A primary focus of these programs is the advancement of journals and publications authored by lecturers. BPJ actively promotes the publication of scientific articles authored by lecturers and students, and it coordinates journal publication activities within the Faculty of Health Sciences.
    While BPJ was formally established at FHS UB in 2022, its operational history traces back to the time when it was affiliated with FK UB (Faculty of Medicine UB). Among its various activities, BPJ organizes workshops designed to enhance skills related to journal management, facilitates access to Turnitin, and carries out other initiatives aimed at strengthening the academic publishing landscape. In detail, BPJ FHS owns several pivotal roles in bolstering the publication endeavors of lecturers and the broader academic community within FHS UB, including:
    • Provision and facilitation of training sessions for constructing scientific publications.
    • Assistance in the periodic release of scholarly works by lecturers and students in the form of journals and other publication formats.
    • Facilitation of ISBN registration, journal accreditation, and overall journal development management at FHS UB.BPJ oversees a collection of journals affiliated with FHS, which includes:
    1. JNSU (Journal of Nursing Science Update)
    2. IJHN (Indonesian Journal of Human Nutrition)
    3. CARING Journal of Community Service (CJPM)
